Things happen extremely quickly here in Brooklyn. According to the Wall Street Journal, Vice Media is moving from their fairly new location on North 11th in Williamsburg and into a bigger space on South Second Street and Kent Avenue directly across from Domino Sugar Factory. This new location will help them to add around 525 new staff members (which the state is granting them $6.5K in tax incentives for) to their already 400 employees.

Vice Media is an online content company that has grown now into an international brand, therefore more space and help is needed. At their current location employees are crammed shoulder to shoulder and using long tables as their work space. The new 60,000 square foot building is just what they need. The new offices will be equipped with full broadcast capabilities and production facilities.

“Brooklyn is our home and we’re already hard at work developing a freaky, space-age utopia that will give today’s creative visionaries a place to produce astonishing stories…”

I say the bigger the better. Bringing more jobs to Brooklyn is never a bad thing. People out here need it and I’m sure Vice is a great company to have on your resume.
