Brooklyn’s second Trader Joe’s location officially opens tomorrow, June 23, in City Point development, the company announced on their website.
“Please join Captain Stephanie and Crew for the Grand Opening Celebration!” the company says in their announcement.
The Downtown Brooklyn location has been long awaited by Brooklynites for a little over two years as it was originally slated to open in fall 2016 but kept getting delayed. Trader Joe’s first location, located on Court Street near Atlantic Avenue, is popular for it’s extremely long lines and overcrowding — sometimes leaving customers waiting outside to get into the store.

The grocery store is the last several retailers to open at the City Point which host Alamo Drafthouse, Target, Century 21 and the recently opened Dekalb Market Hall, the city’s largest food hall.
The new Trader Joe’s is located at 445 Gold St., and will officially open at 9 a.m.
