While we’re just a week and a few days into October, the highly anticipated movie many are calling Oscar worthy, “Brooklyn” has released a new trailer that is getting us extremely excited for November.
The movie that stars newcomers Saoirse Ronan and Domhnall Gleeson tells the story of Eilis Lacey (Saoirse Ronan), a young Irish immigrant navigating her way through 1950’s Brooklyn. Lured by the promise of America, Eilis departs Ireland and heads to Brooklyn, New York. Homesickness quickly diminish as a exciting new romance sweeps Eilis into the intoxicating charm of love. But soon, her new vivacity is disrupted by her past, and Eilis must choose between two countries and the lives that exist within.
“Brooklyn” has been recently making it’s rounds showing at a number of film festivals, including the 53rd Annual New York Film Festival where the reviews have been stunning. “The Oscar talk is appropriate: “Brooklyn” is lovely,” reports the Huffington Post.
