Thanks to Don Richards, a tourist visiting the mean streets of Crown Heights, we’ve learned of the tale of a subway rat that managed to take a quick selfie with a commuters phone – kind of.

At the President Street train station, along the 2 and 5 line in Brooklyn, one commuter decided to take a nap on the subway platform floor — as the platform chairs might have been too uncomfortable for him, I guess. While taking his quick snooze, he was quickly awakened by a rat that managed to climb up his sweater. Obviously frightened to see creepy crawler on him, the commuter quickly jumped up, creating his phone to fall and flash — taking a snapshot of the rat’s face as it ran away.

Thanks to Richards, a tourist who knew napping on the platform is completely wrong, captured it all on video.
