An early morning car accident on the set of Power left one crew member dead.
Pedro Jimenez, 63, who worked as a production assistant was fatally struck by an SUV at around 4:30 a.m. Monday morning while setting up parking cones for a Brooklyn set location for the Starz series.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of the members of our Power family,” Starz said in a statement. “Our thoughts are with Mr. Jimenez’s family as we work to fully understand what has happened.”
Jimenez has been with the series since its 2014 debut. No cast members were on set at the time.

According to NYPD, while Jimenez was placing cones to set up a parking lane for production vehicles, Â he was struck by a Ford Explorer driven by a 64-year-old man. The driver was not connected to the production. The NYPD continue to investigate.
Power has temporarily shut down production in respect of Jimenez family who were informed of his death immediately after medical authorities at Brooklyn Hospital pronounced him dead.
