New York Undercover looks to be the latest 90s series to make a comeback.

ABC is currently eyeing a reboot of Dick Wolf’s New York City cop drama, according to Deadline. The project from Wolf Entertainment will be written by Hand of God creator Ben Watkins,  with Wolf serving as executive producers alongside Arthur Forney and Peter Jankowski.

The original series ran on FOX for four seasons from 1994-98. The show starred Malik Yoba, Michael DeLorenzo, Patti D’Arbanville, and Lauren Vélez. New York Undercover was the first American police drama to star people of color.

Wolf hasn’t said if the series would continue with any of the original cast, though he did hint at the reboot going on with new leads. You “don’t necessarily have to have the same cast,” Wolf said in an interview last week.

ABC is also rebooting NYPD Blue, which premiered in 1993 and ran for 12 seasons.
