Today would have marked Trayvon Martin’s 19th birthday. Trayvon Martin was murdered days after his 17th birthday, on February 26th, 2012, in  Sanford, Florida. His killer, George Zimmerman (a neighborhood watch volunteer), was charged and later, after a short trial, acquitted of second-degree murder and of manslaughter charges. The verdict was shocking, disturbing and unsettling.

Now that it has almost been two years, and Trayvon’s story still haunt us all, we have to celebrate the life that he did have!

Celebrity boxing promoter Damon Feldman made plans for George Zimmerman to be in a boxing match to raise money. He received over 15,000 applicants and today it was announced hat George Zimmerman will be in a boxing match against rapper DMX. Pure Foolery!
