There’s a state-of-the-art hotel coming to Williamsburg early 2016 and if you’re the next big sculptural artist, they want to include you in their hotel lobby!

Level Hotel Brooklyn is looking for some exceptional, stand-out large-scale sculptural artwork. The great thing about it, they only want ‘Brooklyn-based artist’. That means, if you’ve lived in Brooklyn for the past 8 months (or more) or work in Brooklyn, you get to apply.

According to the hotel’s website, artists are asked to submit contact information, five examples of past projects as still images, an artist biography, artist statement, CV and two references that the jury can contact regarding the artist’s previous projects.

A jury of specialists, as well as representatives from the Level Hotel Brooklyn, will determine three finalists from the open call who will each be given a budget of $1,000 to complete a detailed project proposal for presentation. The three finalists will be notified of this decision via email. At this time, the three finalists will be asked to complete renderings, a budget and a production timeline for their proposed artwork.
