As Brooklyn grows, the chain establishments start to pop up around the community. Chain restaurants continue to eye Brooklyn as the borough to grow and build as swarms of people start to move in. Where there are new high rise buildings there will be new eateries to satisfy new residents.

The pizzeria that first opened in Harlem in 1933 is now on its way to Brooklyn. Patsy’s Pizzeria’s signage has already been put up on 450 Dean Street. The NorthFlatbushBID tweeted this photo earlier this week with the caption, “Delicious News…Patsy’s coming to N Flatbush.” With it being close enough to Barclays Center, I’m sure they will do well.

Williamsburg will be getting its first Starbucks. According to DNAInfo, the location will open its doors on 405 Union Avenue by mid-summer. With Williamsburg only having a Dunkin DOnuts and many mom and pop coffee locations, residents fear the community now will start getting extremely expensive. Well, they are right. If you want to rent an apartment in the new building that the Starbucks is being built, you would be looking at $4,350 a month for a two bedroom, two bathroom. With a J.Crew and a Whole Foods scheduled to open up on that side as well, consider Williamsburg to be the next neighborhood on the rise.

Lastly, Bed-Stuy has another slurpee hub. 7 Eleven opened its second location in the neighborhood earlier this month on 1239 Fulton Street. Need cheap coffee, tacos, chicken fingers or a Big Gulp to cool you down in this summer heat, head to 7 eleven. I am sure the new staff will be happy to see you.
