Los Angeles Will Get A Taste Of Brooklyn's Famous Smorgasburg This Summer

Smorgasburg, Brooklyn’s most popular food bazaar, is expanding to Los Angeles, California.

Smorgasburg LA is scheduled to open to the public the on June 19 in downtown Los Angeles. The west coast foodie event will cater to customers on five acres of land where the 100-year-old Alameda Produce Market operates, on Central Avenue and East 7th Street. Smorgasburg will only operate on Sundays when the market is closed.

LA foodies are super psyched about the yummy arrival acknowledging this will act as a major showcase for several food vendors to introduce and promote their dishes to the folks of Los Angeles. So far customers can expect menus from Rucker’s Pies, which offers scrumptious pies baked by National Pie Contest winner Nicole Rucker; Guerrilla Tacos by Chef Wes Avila; and Ugly Drum’s pastrami stand. However, the fun doesn’t stop there. Visitors will also have the opportunity and option to shop antique pieces from various pop-up shop vendors, craft events, and more.
