Teen heart throb, Justin Bieber, seems to be the hipster’s icon.
According to Spotify, residents of Williamsburg, Brooklyn seem to have a major case of Bieber-fever. Justin Bieber’s single “Sorry” was the most popular song in Williamsburg’s ZIP code this year. Thanks to the addicted fans of the Brooklyn neighborhood the music-streaming service is running a gigantic selfie mural-style ad on the corner of Kent and Metropolitan avenues labeled, “Sorry, Not Sorry Williamsburg. Bieber’s hit trended highest in this zip code.”
The campaign,launched five years ago by agency Stinkdigital as part of Spotify’s Year in Music, turns 2015’s most popular streams into street-art advertising, specifically in neighborhoods in New York and Los Angeles.
