Do you remember where and when you first listened Hip Hop? Steve Stoute’s, VH1 series, “The Tanning of America” premiered yesterday on how Hip Hop has influenced the world! The series is based on Stoute’s 2011 book of the same title, but the four-part show should be way more interesting with commentary from hip-hop legends such as Russell Simmons, Reverend Run, Rick Rubin, Nas and Diddy.  Steve Stoute is known to be a marketing mogul and longtime business partner of Jay Z. He goes on to make a factual argument that hip-hop culture is responsible for merging color lines in America, and that it even made room for the country’s first black president!
