Brooklyn teen, Johileny Alamonte, is not letting anything hold her back. The 17-year-old currently attends Juan Morel Campos Secondary School in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is on her way to college and medical school.

While this all seems like what should be expected of a teen graduating from college, Alamonte is just a little different. The teen currently lives in an homeless and suffers from cerebral palsy. When you think that’s enough to deal with, just four years ago, Alamonte’s mother lost her battle with cancer.

“She was like the reason I would get up every morning to come to school. She has been like my main motivation to like do all of this,” Alamonte told Eyewitness News.
