If you have a child in a Brooklyn catholic elementary school, you could be eligible to receive a helping hand for tuition.
At the annual ‘Scholarship Fund Dinner’ lead by the Diocese of Brooklyn, this past weekend the diocese raised a whopping $2.2 million towards the Futures in Education program. The dinner, held at the Waldorf Astoria in the Grand Ballroom, had over 1,000 people in attendance.
The Futures in Education program is designed to help children from low-income families attend Catholic elementary schools from grades K-8 in Brooklyn and in Queens. The program is set to give tuition assistance or provide full scholarships to students who need it. The Futures in Education is also designed to ensure that the students enrolled receive the best possible education in Catholic school.
