CurlFest is a few weeks away, and curly heads from around the country, couldn’t be more excited —especially after being rescheduled because of the weather, a few weeks back.
If you’re a natural girl, transitioning girl, or just interested in curls in general, you do not want to miss CurlFest. The event takes place in Prospect Park on Saturday, August 29th and partners include Carol’s Daughter, Dark and Lovely, Kinky Curly, Curls, Eden Natural, and more. CurlFest was designed to celebrate the natural beauty, and the men that love them.Think of this as a huge summer picnic.
Here is a list of what you can expect and why you dont want to miss CurlFest:
1. Natural Hair
This is an event geared towards embracing your natural hair, expect to see braid outs, twist outs, wash and go’s, and some protective styles as well.
2. Blankets & Picnic Baskets
You will be in Prospect Park, so expect to get comfortable, bring your favorite bottle of wine, few snacks, and a blanket to kick back on.
3. Celeb Cameos
