Yesterday the single 33-year-old actor, last rumored dating actress Rachel McAdams, was seen taking some much needed time off with his new German Shepard and female friend.

The Brokeback Mountain actor was recently nominated for ‘Best Male Lead’ in his latest movie Nightcrawler, for the 2015 Spirit Awards; winners to be announced in February. Nightcrawler, released in select theaters back in October, is a crime thriller where Jake plays a crime journalist who spends his evenings chasing footage to sell to news channels.

Jake Gyllenhaal has also been filming a lot in Brooklyn lately for his upcoming movie, Demolition, set to be released sometime next year.
