2013 is almost over! 2014 is sure to bring new beginnings, new challenges, new fashion, new places to dine, new music, and so much more! I’m sure you are as excited as we are, so why don’t we take a look at what has happened in Brooklyn over the past year!
MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS
Didn’t see this one coming! But it came! We had all the hottest celebs taking over the Barclay’s Center. From Miley Cyrus in her teddy bear costume and plastic hot-pants to Justin Timberlake bringing N’Sync back! It was a show to remember!
BROOKLYN NETS – NEW COACH, NEW TEAM
The Brooklyn Nets want what every NBA team is looking for, A Championship! With this year’s addition of Jason Kidd as Head Coach and bringing in longtime Boston Celtics members, Kevin Garnett(PF, Center), Paul Pierce(Small Forward), and Jason Terry (PG) they believed this will bring them closer to that dream. With the Nets now being 10-20 and holding the 12th seat in the Eastern Conference Division, things are not playing out as they thought. But it’s still early in the season, we can stay optimistic, Right?!
NEW BOROUGH PRESIDENT
We are so sad to see Marty Markowitz go! He was so involved with everything that concerned Brooklyn. Borough President Elect Eric Adams will take his new seat in January. We are excited to see what he will do, as Marty is a tough cookie to follow. Brooklyn has been changed dramatically. In these past few years it has become a tourist attraction, rather than a place people were afraid to visit! Thank You Marty! We look forward to you Senator Eric Adams.
PRESIDENT OBAMA VISITS
So troubleshooting becomes easier and many problems like sleep disorders, subclinical depression, stress, grief and (viagra 50 mg) additional info loss, post-trauma anxiety, phobias and fears can be well addressed.
Back in October, President Obama met with students at Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-Tech in Crown Heights) to deliver a speech praising the students of the school. P-Tech is one of the few schools that go from grades 9-14, meaning when the students graduate they leave with a High school Diploma and an Associate’s Degree. Remarkable!
He also stopped at Junior’s before heading back to Washington, DC.
WHOLE FOODS COMES TO TOWN
With Brooklyn residents starting to eat much healthier and living the “organic” lifestyle, Whole Foods coming to town was a great idea. Whole Foods is located in the Gowanus section on 214 3rd Street. Definitely a must see in a growing area of Brooklyn!
MAGNA CARTER HOLY GRAIL
Our Brooklyn Boy releases his 12th studio album. With hits like Part II, Tom Ford and Holy Grail it was definitely a “MasterPiece.” The album was available first through digital download on July 4th to Samsung customers who downloaded the app, then released worldwide on July 8th. The Carter empire always knows how to do something different! He comes to Barclays Center on January 12 and 13th, 2014! (Make sure you purchase your tickets through our site together with TicketLiquadators!)
