A scheduled Delta airlines flight from Cleveland Ohio for 7:15am to New York’s LaGuardia airport was hit by constant delays on Monday, and didn’t take off until around 6pm that evening. By the time the flight took off most of the appointed passengers had been moved to other flights leaving one lucky Brooklynite to have the plane practically to himself.

Chris O’Leary, a media strategist from Brooklyn, who documented his semi-personal flight via Twitter was informed of the ongoing delays by text. O’Leary waited in his hotel until the flight was finally ready to leave. O’Leary was the only passenger on the flight, until another man arrived on board seconds before the plane headed down the runway. The other passenger slept for the length of the plane journey, making for a very quiet  and comfortable ride.

O’Leary spoke to ABC News and stated: ‘It was definitely the most memorable flight I’ve been on in recent memory… There were no screaming babies, no one listening to loud lyrics or reclining their seats or taking their shoes.’
