For its second year in a row, the Macy’s 4th of July firework spectacular will return to the East River.
The annual event, now in its 39th year, gives Brooklyn residents the perfect view of the colorful show from Brooklyn Bridge Park and parts of DUMBO.

Brave, this years theme, will release more than 40,000 pyrotechnic shells during the 25 minute show. “This celebration will light up the sky for millions in Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan,” says Mayor Bill de Blasio. “There’s no question: this will be a dynamite 4th of July for New Yorkers across the city.”
The show that begins promptly at 9:20PM, will take place at both the East River in Midtown and within the South Street Seaport historic district. And of course, if you don’t want to be live and apart of the millions that come out, you can always watch it on television. The best view in my opinion.
