This folk arts festival, taking place in the Children’s Corner of Prospect Park celebrates Brooklyn’s traditional artists and immigrant communities through a daylong schedule of performances, workshops, interactive family activities, and more. Come on out for a day in the park to learn, play and express yourself in Brooklyn’s Backyard!

Brooklyn Talks: The Future of Transmasculinity

Commemorate a decade of Original Plumbing, a quarterly magazine dedicated to trans male culture, and the publication of the new anthology Original Plumbing: The Best of 10 Years of Trans Male Culture. Founding editors Amos Mac and Rocco Kayiatos discuss the genesis of the groundbreaking quarterly, and are joined by artist Texas Isaiah, activist Tiq Milan, and actor Marquise Vilson for a conversation about the future of transmasculine representation in media and visual culture. Followed by a book signing with the editors. Co-presented with the Feminist Press.
