The Brooklyn-born, Detroit raised late starlet, Aaliyah, biopic is really happening!
Through all the casting, family and other dramas, we’ll still be watching Aaliyah’s story via Lifetime on November 15th. The new trailer is here and to our surprise doesn’t have Aaliyah’s music covering it. Though Iggy Azalea’s “Goddess” is a nice touch, because of the songstress family strong disapproval of the movie, we might not hear a lot of Aaliyah’s original music. (Wait, What?)
Nickelodeon’s Alexandra Shipp took on the role of Aaliyah after singer/actress Zendaya pulled out. Let’s hope Shipp shuts down all the nay-sayers of her playing this role. HOPE!
