Four Brooklyn Public High Schools Rank Best In America

If you’re deciding what public high schools are best to send your children, Brooklyn has four outstanding ones.

According Niche.com’s latest 2016 report ”100 Best Public High Schools in America”, 23 New York City schools made the cut and four of them happened to be right here in Brooklyn. Of those 100 schools, Brooklyn Technical High School in Fort Greene, Brooklyn Latin School in East Williamsburg, Leon M. Goldstein High School for the Sciences in Manhattan Beach and Bedford Academy High School in Bed-Stuy appeared on the list.

The rankings provide a comprehensive assessment of the overall experience of a public high school. How high the school was ranked, was based on a number of key factors such as the academic strength, teacher quality, school resources, student life, as well as student and parent reviews. Out of 23,861 public high schools across the United States, the top 100 were selected based on outcome grades on said key factors.

Coming in the first and second spots of the highest ranked schools in New York — and the country — were Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan and Staten Island Technical High School in Staten Island.
