Toronto native, The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) chose Brooklyn to kick off his highly anticipated “King Of The Fall Tour” and it worked! Fans jam-packed Barclays Center, Friday night to experience the mystery of The Weeknd with opening performances by rapper, Schoolboy Q and “Pressure” songstress, Jhene Aiko.
Although The Weeknd wasn’t part of the Source360, a Hip-Hop cultural expo that took over downtown Brooklyn for the entire weekend, his tour was the perfect “Kick-off” Â for what The Source Magazine was trying to bring back to Brooklyn.
Juelz Santana, who was also gearing up for his Dipset reunion the following night, and girlfriend of reality show, “Love & Hip-Hop”, Kimbella came out to support The Weeknd.
The Weeknd wowed the crowd with mysterious yet seductive performances of hit songs, “Wicked Games”, “Twenty Eight” and even delivered a remix to Beyonce’s hit “Drunk In Love”.
