“Brooklyn”, a drama directed by John Crowley, is based on Colm TóibÃn’s novel of the same name. The film, starring Saoirse Ronan, Emory Cohen, Domhnall Gleeson, Jim Broadbent and Julie Walters follows the story of a young Irish immigrant Eilis Lacey (Saoirse Ronan) as she leaves her native home and heads to Brooklyn in the 1950s. Eilis soon finds love in the borough with an Italian man but soon, her new romance is disrupted by her past, and Eilis must choose between two countries and the lives that exist within. The movie, already receiving tons of Oscar buzz, is set to be released in theaters on November 6th, 2015 after the film makes its round in a few festivals.
“The Intern”, a comedy directed by Nancy Meyers, stars notables Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway. The movie that filmed in parts of Park Slope and Clinton Hill, follows Jules Ostin (Anne Hathaway), the founder and CEO of a fashion based e-commerce company as she agrees to employ Ben Whittaker (Robert De Niro), a senior, as an intern at the firm. The movie is scheduled to be released on September 25, 2015.
