Sunset Park Will Soon Be Home To 300 Time Inc. Employees

A number of Time Inc. employees are headed to work in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, one of the world’s leading media companies announced last Thursday.

Around 300 employees in the company’s Technology, Content Solutions and Editorial Innovation departments are set to move into a massive 55,000 square feet office building in Industry City. The 16 story, 6 million square-foot complex is home to more than 400 companies and employ 4,000 people.

“We are excited that our talented technology, advertising and creative teams will become a part of Industry City’s revitalization,” said Time Inc. CEO Joe Ripp, in a recent statement. “This environment – known as an ‘innovation and manufacturing district’ – is an ideal space for building new products, reimagining content creation and developing advertising solutions.”

Employees working on theDRIVE, a new editorial product devoted to cars and the car culture, will occupy a 5,000 square-foot ground floor showroom. They will join members of Time Inc.’s Editorial Innovation, Technology and Content Solutions teams at Industry City. These departments will occupy two floors that each span 25,000 square feet.

Time Inc. has published some of the most influential magazines including People, Sports Illustrated, InStyle, Time, Entertainment Weekly, and Food & Wine and they clearly have no plans on leaving anytime soon.
