The Brooklyn Children’s Museum

Have a child that enjoys the beauty of science, art and everything in between. With exhibits like “More that meets the I”, your youngsters can morph into little scientists for the day as they learn about biology, technology, robots and their functions. Located in the heart of Crown Heights at 145 Brooklyn Ave, the Brooklyn Children’s Museum is $9.00 for admissions and FREE admission for museum members. The museum’s hours are Tuesday -Sunday 10am-5pm, Closed on Mondays, and FREE every Thursday from 3:00pm-5:00pm.

Lakeside Skating Rink

Who doesn’t love Ice Skating? Lakeside Skating Rink in the LeFrak Center at 171 East Drive, has activities for both parents and their children. Spend the day together on and off the rink at the Bluestone Cafe or the snack bar. Ice skating hours Tues-Thurs 11am-6pm, Fri 11am–8pm, Sat 10am–9pm, Sun10am–6pm and closed on Monday. Admission into Lakeside is $6.00 on weekdays and $8.00 on weekends and holidays.

PLAY

PLAY is the solution for children who crave the outdoors. This activity center is not only an indoor playground but it’s also a place where you and your kids can grow educationally together. PLAY hosts a series of classes and programs for youth participation: art , dance, language, music and lots more. Located across the street from McCarren Park, at 33 Nassau Ave in Greenpoint, PLAY is also the perfect place to host special events. To become a part of the PLAY community, the membership fees range from $120-$750, or come for a drop in class; $20 per child and $10 per sibling.

The Moxie Spot, located at 81 Atlantic Ave, is a restaurant with a play place and two floors of family fun. Let your child go crazy in the play place for only $2.50 and if you plan on dining and spending over $15 they fee is waived! Restaurant hours are Mon-Wed 10:00am-3:00pm, Thurs-Sun 10:00am-8:30pm.

Gotham Archery

Gotham Archery is the perfect place for the older kids (12 and up) and their parents to hang out with each other, and learn about the art the archery. Located in Cobble Hill at 480 Baltic Street, Gotham Archery has classes for beginners to experienced. Classes are $27 & up. Hours for Gotham Archery are Mon-Fri 3pm-10pm and Sat-Sun 9am-10pm.
