You ever talk to someone briefly on the bus or subway? Fell in love with their pretty smile or big bright eyes? But then all of a sudden they got off at the next stop and you felt incomplete. You wished you would have said more or maybe exchanged numbers. Well here you have the chance to talk about it! On Valentine’s Day, February 14th, the NY Transit Museum will conduct a “Missed Connections Party” celebrating the brief encounters and unexpected romances that blossom on buses and subways. Stop in! Maybe find a valentine, write a poem, decorate a cookie, and get dating advice from Lori Cheek of Cheek’d.
There will be food and drinks as well as beer provided by Brooklyn Brewery. Also tons of raffle prizes from Boylan Bottling, Brittle Barn, Brooklyn Winery, The Chocolate Room, A Cook’s Companion and Nunu Chocolates among a host of others!
I mean no one really wants to be alone on Valentine’s Day right! Be with others who also had that missed transportation encounter. Who knows, the person that got away might be heading there as well! Fingers Crossed!
