- Denise Vasi (Actress)
Denise Vasi was born on March 1st, 1983. “The biggest sacrifice I ever made was moving to Los Angeles three years ago. At first I was kind of freaked out by it. I’m a born and bred Brooklyn girl. My entire family was just a train ride away”, Denise Vasi told Rolling Out Magazine. She was signed to Ford Models at the age of 12. On top of becoming a model, she broke out into acting with her first role in  “All My Children”.  Vasi is now known for her lead role in VH1’s hit show “Single Ladies”.
- Â Jean-Michel Basquiat (Artist)
The legendary artist was born in Park Slope section of Brooklyn. Basquait was born on December 22nd, 1960. He started his career as a teenage graffiti artist. He quickly became known for his political and poetical graffiti. Jay Z purchased a Basquait painting (“Mecca”) for a cool $4.5 million dollars!
- Larry Brown (NBA former Coach)
Larry Brown was born on September 14th, 1940. Brown won “Coach of The Year” award while coaching the Philadelphia 76ers with star player, Allen Iverson, in 2001. He went on to win his first NBA Championship during his first season with the Detroit Pistons in 2004. In 2005 he became the head coach of the New York Knicks and was reportedly named the highest paid coach in NBA history. He was then making about 50-60 million dollars.
- Jackie Gleason (Actor)

Jackie Gleason was born on February 26th, 1916 in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn. Gleason was best known for his role at Ralph Kramden in the “Honeymooners”. Joe Torre was born on July 18th, 1940. Torre was a nine-time MLB All-Star and a four-time World Series Champion. While he is known for being a stand out player, becoming the Manager for the NY Yankees has been the highlight of his career. In 1996 and 1998 he was named AL Manager of the Year.
