The Institute of Museum and Library Services announced on Thursday that it will be giving the Brooklyn Botanical Garden an honorary medal for its longtime commitment with helping their fellow neighbors and educating people about plants. According to the Institute this is the highest honor for the country’s civic temples.

The Brooklyn Botanical Garden’s green thumbs are so elated to be chosen for the award. They stressed that education was their focal point and that it has hugely influenced their programs.
