On Sunday, September 13th, the number one media company dedicated to African-American women, will hold their 2nd annual ESSENCE Street Style Block Party in Dumbo. The event scheduled from Noon – 5p.m., will include a special appearance by the stunning actress Gabrielle Union, a live musical performance by R&B singing sensation Andra Day, and a music mash-up by DJ Olivia Dope and Tiff McFierce. Because it’s New York Fashion Week and labeled a “street style” party, a runway show showcasing the best of street style, co-hosted by ESSENCE Live host Dana Blair will be held at the Dumbo archway under the Manhattan bridge. Local vendors, designers and food trucks will also be in tow for added pleasure.
