One of the most highly contagious songs of this year, Pharrell’s “Happy“ is making people, well HAPPY! One fan of the amazing song, Abena Mailka, creates her own version of the song’s video, right here in Brooklyn. While capturing some of Bed-Stuy’s beauty she travels along big street names like Decatur Street  and Stuyvesant and shows some epic monuments of the borough. She uses quotes and hashtags Happy and even calls this a “Healing Song”. Watch the video below, I totally encourage everyone to make there own version, the song will absolutely get you pumped!
Malika said on her youtube channel “The Malika Collection”, on why she did this video,
My Tribute to Pharrell Williams INCREDIBLE song/video concept for his smash hit “HAPPY”, from the “Despicable Me” Soundtrack! This video was shot in Brooklyn, New York on one of the warmest December days on record. I was feeling so good that day, and so happy in my surroundings, that I figured this was the perfect day to do it. I adore this song. I listen to it everyday. Its the most amazing meditation and gives me the best energy throughout the day! I hope you enjoy it! It also doubles as my visual love letter to Brooklyn, a place that always makes me so happy!
