The Mayor of New York, who also happens to be a Brooklynite, doesn’t think Downtown Brooklyn is fab enough. Mayor Bill De Blasio wants to fix up Downtown BK with new stores and lots of greenery. As if the new change in Fulton Mall aren’t enough, the Mayor wants more.

The proposed change in one of the most busiest sections of Brooklyn will include a 21-acre greenway to be called the “Brooklyn Strand”. The green-space will be uninterrupted land from Borough Hall to the waterfront. De Blasio also wants new stores to be built, three new smaller parks, and an entire redesign of Jay and Adam Streets.
