Adam Harvey, chef and owner of Bar Salumi in Gowanus, was arrested last month for attempting to kill a neighbor’s tree next to his new $1.5 million home in Windsor Terrace. Last week, he appeared in court to face charges of criminal trespassing and criminal mischief.

Shortly after purchasing his new home, Harvey contacted the tree’s owner to inform her that it was dead and that he’d help her cut it down since it was causing too much said and inhibiting his solar panels’ performance. The owner, a retired city teacher, responded with an arborist’s confirmation that the tree was alive.

Harvey proceeded to take matters into his own hands, bringing in a landscaping crew to cut branches off of the seven story-high maple. Apparently still unsatisfied, he returned to drill 11 holes and reportedly inject herbicide into the tree’s trunk. Several neighbors caught all of these acts on camera and called the police.

The damage was already done, though, and an arborist has informed the tree’s owner that all she can do is wait and see if the tree survives. “The neighborhood is in mourning because of that tree suffering,” she told the Daily News. “I bought that house because there was a full-blown beautiful tree in my yard,” she said. “That just blew me over.”
Some of them even claim to get the best results without any side effects, and devensec.com cheap viagra is one such pill.

She continued, “The tree has a right to be and has a right to survive. Why would you have solar panels and try to take down a tree? That to me is the linchpin of everything. It says a lot.”

This is not the first time Harvey’s upset a neighborhood. In an attempt to promote his previous venture, A&E Supply Co, he had sidewalks and subway entrances in Park Slope and Gowanus tagged with the restaurant’s logo. Although the paint was supposed to fade in 30 to 40 days, people in the area did not appreciate the guerrilla marketing.
