After a six year hiatus, VH1 Hip Hop Honors is coming back to your TV screens and this time bringing all the Queens of hip-hop to the forefront. The show will pay homage to the female pioneers, trailblazers and trend-setters who lead a movement and infiltrated the ranks of the male-dominated genre to make their voices heard and still do today.

VH1 has already announced a pretty fierce line-up of honorable women, from Queen Latifah, Salt-N-Pepa featuring Spinderella and Missy Elliott. According to Billboard, VH1 has added Brooklyn’s own Queen Bee, Lil’ Kim, to the bill.

He seamlessly pulls from life experience http://appalachianmagazine.com/10011940914_36c55cc48e_h/ (levitra price) to meld American, Japanese, Cholo, tattoo, surf and hotrod iconography.
Lil’ Kim, who is currently on tour with Diddy for the “Bad Boy Reunion Tour,” has had three consecutive platinum albums:  Hard Core, Notorious K.I.M. and La Bella Mafia. Not to mention the influence on fashion and rap style she has had on the rising stars of the rap game. The show wouldn’t be complete without the mention of her name.

Since its inception in 2004 the show has recognized the luminaries who broke new ground and propelled the genre into the cultural phenomenon it has become. From Hip Hop’s pioneers like Public Enemy and Tupac Shakur to Def Jam Records and Russell Simmons, VH1 has honored Hip Hop from its origins through the numerous phases of its musical evolution.

“VH1’S Hip Hop Honors” will air Monday, July 11th at 9pm ET, live from New York.
