Brooklyn And Japan Team Up For One New Hot Shoe
Greats x United Arrows

Brooklyn is the place to see some of the coolest world trends so it’s no surprise that Brooklyn-based shoe brand Greats, the first mens sneaker brand to be Born In Brooklyn, has collaborated popular Japanese retailer, United Arrows, on one of the season’s hottest kicks.

Motofumi Kogi , United Arrows creative director, approached Greats — who previously Orley, ONLY NY and Pyer Moss — with the idea to use a fabric called sashiko to cover its popular slip-on sneaker, the Wooster. The navy blue cloth, usually saved for repair jobs, is decorated with white  stitching in a diamond-like shape and is paired with a tan suede backing and extended pull-tab with the United Arrows logo.
