Legendary Pictures has acquired the rights to Ron Wimberly’s graphic novel Prince of Cats and has tapped Sorry To Bother You and Get Out star, Lakeith Stanfield to play the lead role in the film adaptation, Deadline reports.

The novel is described as a 1980s hip-hop retelling of Shakespeare’s classic Romeo and Juliet. Stanfeild will play Juliet’s cousin Tybalt a.k.a “The Prince of Cats”. The film follows Tybalt’s perspective as he and his Capulet crew navigate a violent Brooklyn and battle the Montagues “alongside a vibrant music scene.”
