Jennifer Lopez is getting ready to kick off the new year with her first ever dramatic TV role.
All summer the multi-talented Latina has been spotted in Brooklyn shooting scenes for her latest lead role in Shades of Blue. NBC has booked the new police drama set to kick off with a two-hour premiere on January 14th, 2016 at 9 p.m then shift to its regular Thursday 10 p.m. time slot on January 21st.
Lopez stars as Harlee Santos, a single mom and Brooklyn detective whom the FBI recruits to work undercover as an informant. Liotta stars as Lt. Matt Wozniak, who “often leads the team to step outside the limitations of the law in order to effectively protect their precinct and their own.” Harlee struggles to safeguard her on-the-job family and avoid arrest in order to stay with her daughter when the FBI catches Harlee in the act of an illegal job.
