Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters, straight outta Brooklyn!
Thanks to BBQ Films, Williamsburg, beginning today, is now home to the new Ghostbusters headquarters. The event production company, who has previously brought to life Back to the Future’s Enchantment Under the Sea Dance and The Fifth Element’s Fhloston Paradise, is celebrating both the historic 1984 film and the remake scheduled to debut in theaters on July 15th.
“You’re transported into a different world,” BBQ Films co-founder Gabriel Rhoads tells Metro, “where the movie you’re watching is almost a documentary of what’s happening around you.”

Villain, located at 50 N Street, has been completely transformed to look like a scene straight out of Ghostbusters. According to Metro, “new recruits” will do more than just watch the original film, but “guests complete training scenarios (including a not-yet-released iPad game), encounter the paranormal (via special Giphy-powered scenes), drink Hi-C Ecto Cooler cocktails and relive the history of 30 years of ghostbusting with props like the Ecto-1 car and proton packs from 1984 and the new film.”
“This is fundamentally a social experience with the guests in the center of that action,” Rhoads says. “You get a chance to play inside this world.”
The Ghostbuster HQ will be open from today until Saturday June 11th. Recruit packages start at $10. Visit BBQ Films for full schedule and more information.
