Wait, is this even legal? One bar in the Columbia Waterfront District in Brooklyn is raising its weekend drinking age limit to 25. Why? Because they simply can’t deal with drunk young people. Going as far as calling them “annoying”!
DNAinfo reports that bar, Phil’s Crummy Corner located at 323 Columbia Street, will only sell alcohol to patrons 25 and older but only on weekend nights. This comes from after loads of nearby residents complaining about loud late night crowds. The “family restaurant” didn’t just receive small complaints. the number of complaints they got led to the restaurant becoming the main subject of a meeting on Monday between the Community Board and the 76th Precinct.
Residents have a good right to complain as some of these drunken nights led to some extreme violence. Back in September, right outside the restaurant, a 25 year old woman was kicked and punched by a gang of four people. Also in April, a man was arrested for punching a female victim in the face inside the restaurant. Whether these incidents are based on age is still questionable. Phil’s is hoping that this works for now.
Can you imagine powdered Iberico ham, a ravioli flavor bomb generic levitra cute-n-tiny.com of truffle emulsion, lemon soda powder, lots of liquid nitrogen, and also a dish that you chew up and then spit out? The dining experience here is bound to remain in your memory forever and will be cherished by you lifelong! Alinea is referred to as libido.
Just wondering if this will be the first step in maybe a state wide decision. For now, if you’re between the age of 21-24, don’t even think about going to Phil’s Crummy Corner on the weekend for a drink.
