Telling Muslim Stories

PEN America and Brooklyn Historical Society present an evening of readings and conversation about storytelling and place. Inspired by the Muslims in Brooklyn project and its rich collection of oral histories, Ladan Osman, author of Exiles of Eden; Chimene Suleyman, editor of The Good Immigrant; Zohra Saed, co-editor of One Story, Thirty Stories: An Anthology of Contemporary Afghan American Literature; and Sriyanka Ray, Senior Producer of BRIC’s #BHeard public affairs programming, discuss how narratives about the Muslim experience are informed by notions of identity and space.
