The self proclaimed “purple unicorn” who recently dropped her dope EP, Emotionally Unavailable, is giving us some serious purple hair envy.

The 19-year-old, Brooklyn-born singer, Justine Skye credits the start of her career on Tumblr, the scrollable social media platform that also serves as a visual diary.  The obsession with the purple hair came about three years ago when she was trying to figure out her transition and beginning to define herself. Unicorns are majestic, beautiful, strong and smart and the color purple is often associated with royalty, nobility, and ambition. All qualities that Justine embodies so the title “purple unicorn” is definitely fitting and suitable.

Justine has us all contemplating trying something new.  To be only 19, and able to make such a bold statement is nothing short of amazing — all while serving purple hair slayage!!
