Fort Greene’s popular hot spot, Smoke Joint has reopened at 87 South Elliott Place as Peaches HotHouse, a soul-food restaurant under the same owners. This is the restaurant’s second location in Brooklyn.
Owners Ben Grossman and Craig Samuel have opened several restaurants in Brooklyn, under their restaurant group B + C Restaurants. Since the opening of the Smoke Joint in 2006, Grossman and Samuel have opened hit eateries including Peaches Shrimp and Crab in Clinton Hill, Peaches in Bed-Stuy and Peaches HotHouse, also in Bed-Stuy.
Peaches HotHouse’s Fort Greene location will offer a similar menu, including “the HotHouse Burger and appetizers such as fried green tomatoes and barbecued shrimp,” says Brownstoner.
