Prior to Laolu’s big move to the states, he pursued the field of law where he achieved a degree in Human Rights for both women and children and worked with the National Human Rights Commission before permanently devoting his time to art. Since the move, Laolu has invested time into his craft, where he performed last year at the SXSW Music Festival, collaborated with a photographer where he did body art on a model which was featured in the New York Times, collaborated with numerous celebrities including R&B artist Usher and is now a brand ambassador for international fitness label, Equinox.

While the year is still ripe, Laolu is very humbled as he traveled back in time to reflect on his journey over the past three years. While continuing his inspirational journey to success, being a positive role model and influence to his three-year-old daughter who he states, is already artistic herself, Laolu explained none of his liberties are taken for granted because its all for his little girl. As for his art and the love for his new home town, he proudly stated “I thrive on art in Brooklyn.”
