Lin-Manuel Miranda’s hit Broadway musical, In The Heights, will play in Brooklyn this Spring — minus Miranda.
Brooklyn’s Gallery Players will present the Tony award winning musical in Park Slope from April 23 through May 15. The original play, with music and lyrics by Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda and a book by Quiara Alegria Hudes, will be directed by Michael Bello.
In The Heights, set in New York City’s Washington Heights, follows the story of a young bodega owner — played by Miranda on Broadway — and his colorful community and their struggles.
The Gallery Player’s cast includes Paul Aguirre, Daniel Belnavis, Daniel Caraballo, Sydia Cedeno, Steven Charles, Mark Andrew Garner, Gabriela Hernandez, Joomin Hwang, Ryan Jagru, Alexandra Marks, Paloma Munoz, Carman Napier, Silvia Nicoloso, Claire Saunders, Evelio Sotolongo, Josephine Spada and Maite Uzal.
If you’ve never seen this musical, I personally suggest you do while you have this chance.
Tickets are only $18 for adults ($13 for children and seniors) and can be purchased online at galleryplayers.com or by calling Ovationtix at (212) 352-3101.
