Over the years Brooklyn rapper, Jay Z has called out the luxury champagne brand, “Ace of Spades” in his lyrics and outfitted his 40/40 clubs with the signature gold bottles. Maybe he just really liked the look and the taste of richness because not until now is the liquor officially his, partially.
In a press statement released earlier today, Sovereign Brands revealed the unofficial brand ambassador since 2006, Jay Z, has purchased Armand de Brignac (Ace of Spades) for an undisclosed amount.
“We are proud to announce that Sovereign Brands, a New York-based wine and spirits company owned by the Berish family, has sold its interest in the Armand de Brignac (‘Ace of Spades’) Champagne brand to a new company led by the globally-renowned Shawn ‘Jay Z’ Carter.”
