Sheepshead Bay — A white man stormed into a Brooklyn Chinese buffet restaurant on Tuesday evening and attacked three employees with a hammer, in what police are calling an “unprovoked attack.”

At around 5:15pm, 34-year-old suspect, Arthur Martunovich entered Seaport Buffet in Sheepshead Bay and beat three men in the head. Fufai Pun, 34, a chef at the restaurant, was pronounced dead at NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, while the 60-year-old owner of the eatery and a 50-year-old manager remain in critical condition, according to NYPD.

Witnesses said the suspect came into the Asian-owned restaurant yelling and immediately attacked the employees with his hammer.

Diners reportedly fled in horror and took shelter in nearby restaurants.

“I heard a bunch of people screaming: ‘He’s killing people! Lock all the doors!’” Samantha Randazzo, who manages Randazzo’s clam bar less than a block from the scene, told the NY Post.

While in police custody Martunovich told detectives he was inspired by a movie about the mistreatment of women in the Asian culture.

“A “rambling” Arthur Martunovich told detectives that after seeing the flick — the name of which wasn’t immediately known — he had no choice but to unleash terror inside the packed,” the Post details.

Martunovich was charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon. The Brooklyn resident was also a suspect in a 2016 assault but was never officially charged. He was also reported as a victim of assaults in 2016 and 2004.
