The anticipation builds up for 6pm tonight. Why? The NBA will be announcing the full league schedule. I can imagine how exciting an daunting of a task that might be. Sitting with a group of people putting together the perfect matches so that NBA fans get extremely excited and by crazy amounts of tickets. Or however it’s done.
Here in Brooklyn we have a lot to look forward to. Being that the Nets have yet to stay a consistent team since they have arrived at the Barclays Center the anticipation is high to see if this version of the team can at-least get us a playoff spot.
Here are 10 reasons why we’re excited for the upcoming 2014-15 season.
1. The first game against the Toronto Raptors is sure to be a doozy. With all the controversy of their recent fine because of Drake’s antics and how he and “his” team are still a little bitter about last years’ Game 6 loss, I’m sure they can’t wait for a re-match.
2. Lionel Hollins. The Nets new head coach. Lets see what magic he can bring to the team.
3. The first home game. Rumored to be against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Will Jay Z be court-side? Will he try to get Kevin Durant to come to Brooklyn next year when his contract expires with the Thunder? The thought of that!
4. Mason Plumlee. The Nets seemed to have taken the one year rookie player to heart. Will he be a huge asset to the team? We sure hope so. Brooklyn needs it.
5. Oh, the game against Jason Kidd’s new team, the Milwaukee Bucks. You think any of the Nets players will shake his hand? I sincerely hope not.
