‘Racing Age’ Exhibit Comes To Dumbo

A new art exhibit has made its way to the United Photo Industries in Dumbo.
“Racing Age” showcases the life of elderly track and field athletes through photographs taken by Angela Jimenez. Jimenez, also a retired track and field athlete, decided to focus on and capture these particular athletes because she wanted to experience race meets from both sides of the spectrum. Every athlete that was photographed were over the age of seventy and previously competed in meets in United States and Italy. The photos display competitors in the long jump division, the hurdle division as well the 100 meter yard dash division.
United Photo Industries is located on 111 Front Street. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday 11am-6pm and appointments only if you’re visiting on the weekend.
