Next Sunday will be a star studded event at the Barclays Center. If you are in any anticipation of All-Star Weekend 2015 (Only 7 months away), Sunday, July 27th will just be a slight taste test of who might be in the building. The EBC America Celebrity Basketball Challenge will feature four celebrity-coached teams, from four of the major cities. Fabolous, of course will coach Team NYC vs. Team LA and Wale will coach Team DMV which is set to head Team Philly. Each team will consist of three to five professional basketball players and seven street ball players and trying to prove which city has the best set of players. There will be two semi-final games as well as the championship game.

Confirmed NBA players include, Nick Young (LA Lakers), Brandon Jennings (Detroit Pistons), Lance Stephenson (Indiana Pacers), John Wall (Washington Wizards), Kemba Walker (Charlotte Bobcats), Tobias Harris (Orlando Magic), David Lee (Golden State Warriors), Austin Day (San Antonio Spurs), Russ Smith (New Orleans Pelicans), Landry Fields (Toronto Raptors), Dorell Wright (Portland Trailblazers) and Jordan Hamilton (Houston Rockets).

EBC (Entertainers Basketball Classic) Founder, Greg Marius, stated

“We are always trying to find ways to bring our celebrity friends and basketball players closer to the people that made them famous. We are the Entertainers Basketball Classic because 32 years ago we gave people the basketball experience they wanted to see. This Barclays Center event will take what we do everyday in the summer for 2,000 people at Rucker Park to an unimaginable level at an NBA arena. Our goal at the EBCRuckerPark is to provide people of all races and backgrounds the opportunity to get a taste of Harlem/NYC basketball in a family-friendly environment. New York City basketball is not dead, and if you don’t believe it, come witness it at Barclays Center on Sunday, July 27 at 4p.m.”
