Halloween is known for the spooky costumes, the scary movies and the fun activities for both adults and children. Brooklyn didn’t want you to have to go to far for your tricks and treats so there is lots to do.

Below are the best of the best children and adult events, oh and of course something for your pup pals!

Kids Events:

1. Halloween Harvest, Coney Island’s Luna Park
Between the weekends of September 20th- October 26th, Luna Park’s festivities include trick or treating, face painting, pumpkin picking and many more.

2. Harvest Festival, Brooklyn Heights
This festival will be held at Brooklyn Bridge Park at Pier 6 located on Atlantic Ave and Joralemon Street from 10:30am – 1:00pm.This event is free to all ages and has activities for every age group. 3. The Puppetry Arts Haunted Halloween Carnival, Park Slope
Located at 1st Street Recreation Center on 4th street and 5th Ave, this event has free admission with activities fees for the bouncy house, popcorn and the cotton candy, T-shirt decorating and a haunted house. This carnival will take place on October 25th and it is an indoor event and it is open to children of all ages.

4. Fort Greene Halloween Festival, Fort Greene
The festival will take place at Fort Greene Park on DeKalb Ave. and Washington Park on October 25th. During this event, the kids can enjoy hayrides, face painting, a dog costume contest and a costume parade. This event is also free.

5. Halloween Haunted Walk and Carnival, Prospect Park
Come out and experience a spooky walk with ghouls and goblins lurking around every corner the Nethermead from 12pm-3pm. After the walk is over, the carnival begins and the kids can enjoy pony rides, fun games and much more. This event is free.

6. Creepy Crawly Halloween, Prospect Park
This is two day free event starting on October 25th –October26th at the Boathouse located in the Audubon Center from 1pm-4pm. The kids will get a chance to be up close and personal with the little creepy critters. They will also have a chance of making their own creepy critters.

7. BAMboo, Fort Greene
On Halloween, BAM will be having its annual Halloween celebration located in front of the Peter Jay Sharp building at 30 Lafayette Ave. This is a free event from 4:00pm-7:00pm and during this event, everyone will enjoy games, treats and get a chance to participate in a costume contest.

8. Halloween 313, Clinton Hill
This event will take place on October 31st, and it is a free event. This event happens every year in front of 313 Clinton Ave and it is a show with back to back performances throughout the night. The show will begin at 5:00pm and run every 30 minutes until 9:00pm.

9. Ghouls and Gourds, Crown Heights
October 25th, Brooklyn Botanical Garden will be holding the Ghouls and Gourds festival from 12:00pm- 5:30pm. The price for this event is $10 and free for children under the age of 12. This is a hands-on event for kids and adults.

10. Monster Mash, Crown Heights
Another two day event, on October 24th and October 25th the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, located at 145 Brooklyn Ave will host a Monster Mash. This in an indoor event, where kids can attend a live DJ dance party, partake in craft making and scary storytelling. The Monster Mash starts at 4pm and is a separate admission ticket. Admission is $13 per person/ $8 members. Pre-sale ticket discount: $12 per person (purchase online or at the Museum by October 23)

1. The Zombie Run/Black Ops, Flatbush
Both the zombie run and the zombie run: black ops, are zombie filled obstacles spanning from 3.1 miles – 5 miles. These events will take place at the Aviator Sports and Events Center, at 3159 Flatbush Ave. The events will start at 2:00pm. You can register as a human or a zombie.

2. Spooky Street Tour, Brooklyn Heights
The Spooky Street Tour will take you on a scary journey and tell you the tales behind the famous landmarks in Brooklyn. The tour is led by Andrea Janes, and it will start in Cobble and make its way around the borough. The tour is $20 in advance and $25 the day of. The meeting point is on 140 Court Street between Atlantic Ave and Pacific Street. Tour times are as follows: October 24th 7pm and 9pm, October 25th at 3pm and 7pm and October 31st at 7pm and 9pm.

3. The PUPkin Festival, Fort Greene
This 16 annual event PUPkin Festival will take place on October 25th in Fort Greene Park. Come out and watch Halloween revelers dress their dogs in the cutest, spookiest, and/or funniest costumes. This is a FREE event from 11:00am -4:00pm.

4. HallowMEME Costume Party 2014, Gowanus
On October 30th, the Bell House will have a Halloween Party, located at149 7th street. This is event is free, an RSVP is required and it is a 21+ event. The party is from 8:30pm-1:00am and the catch to this costume party is you have to dress up as your favorite meme.

5. Zombie Prom, Gowanus
From 8:00pm- 2:00am on October 31st, the zombie prom will be in effect at 622 DeGraw St. This event’s admission price is between $15 -$20 and the party zombies will enjoy live music from the Hollows, Sylvana Joyce and the Moment, Corn Mo and T.R.J.B. 6. Haunted Canoe Ride, Greenpoint
Take the scariest ride of your life on the Haunted Canoe Ride. On Halloween night from 8:00pm- 11:45pm, ride down the Newton Creek at 437 McGuiness Blvd with zombies in attendance. This canoe ride is $15 per ticket, and be quick in getting those tickets before there are all gone.

7. Halloween Fundraiser and Costume Party, Prospect Heights
On October 31st at 7:00pm The Kymberle Project will be hosting a Halloween Fundraiser and Costume Party at 1332 Atlantic Ave. This is a 21 and over event, the dress code, Halloween costume of course. The party will feature a live DJ as well as live performances. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

8. Gravesend Haunted House, Clinton Hill
Between the dates of October 23rd- October 25th and October 30th – November 1st (times for each day varies), the Entertainment Technology Department of City Tech College has changed the Gravesend Hotel into a spooky haunted house. This event is $5 to students with ID and group admission, and $8 regular price. The House is located at the Voorhees Theatre 186 Jay Street.

9. Night of the Living Dead Viewing, Williamsburg
October 31st, the Spectacle Theater on 124 South 3rd street will be showing the classic Halloween thriller, The Night of the Living Dead. Admission is $5 and the movie times are 8pm and 10pm.

10. The Halloween RUSH Costume Party, Crown Heights
For those who will still be in the Halloween spirit after it is over, there is a way to continue the celebration. On Nov 1st, Secrets Nightclub on 724 Nostrand Ave will be having their annual Halloween party. The party starts at 11pm and everyone is free before 1:00am. This is a 21 and over event.
